We’ve now served over 20,000 meals since beginning our Conscious Kitchen Covid-19 relief — and invite you to join us to do more together. Here’s what we have done and how you can support.
What have we accomplished since late March?
- Cooked and served 20,098 total meals as of today (5/1/2020)
- Provided breakfasts, lunches and dinners to the Marin City community at various pickup and distribution points daily
- Operated 3 Conscious Kitchens 5 days a week with multiple chefs on site
- Continued to serve the students of Bayside MLK and Willow Creek Academy and anyone under age 18 with meals for pickup daily outside school Conscious Kitchens
- Delivered 2,160 individually packed, balanced lunches directly to seniors in the safety of their Marin City homes
- Sold 226 Conscious Kitchen x Tomatero Farm Boxes at our first CK Pop Up this week, enabling us to donate more fresh, organic food to families in Marin City; the second week is in progress with pick up on 5/5
- Purchased regularly from over 20 local, organic farmers, ranchers and food purveyors to directly support the local economy, benefit the community, and create and sustain jobs
- Employed local delivery teams in Marin City, including recently unemployed residents
- Served hot meals to frontline medical staff with biweekly deliveries to MarinHealth
- Engaged more than 50 volunteers to support our teams with pick up and delivery of ingredients, hot meals and supplies across the county
